What is English Four-Line Grid?

English four-line grid is a practice paper designed for English writing, featuring red and blue baselines to help learners master the correct height and position of letters.

Step 1: Choose Template

  1. Click the 'English Writing Paper' template on the homepage
  2. Enter the settings page

Step 2: Customize Content

Enter Practice Text

In the left-side settings panel, enter the words or sentences you want to practice, one per line. For example:

Adjust Font Size

Use the font size slider to adjust the text size. Recommendations:

  • Kindergarten: 24-28pt
  • Lower elementary: 20-24pt
  • Upper elementary: 16-20pt

Select Font Style

Multiple font options are available:

  • Print:Suitable for beginners
  • Cursive:Suitable for advanced practice

Step 3: Preview and Print

  1. Check the effect in the right-side preview area
  2. Use the zoom buttons to adjust the preview size
  3. Click the 'Print / Download PDF' button
  4. Choose to print or save as PDF

Recommended Print Settings

  • Paper Size: A4
  • Orientation: Portrait
  • Margins: None or Minimum
  • Color: Color (to display red and blue lines)

Q: Can I change the line colors?

A: Currently, we use the standard red and blue line color scheme, which is the most common format for English practice.

Q: Can I print only blank grids?

A: Yes! If you don't enter any text, it will generate blank four-line grids.
